Welcome Home! We’re delighted to have you as a resident and are committed to providing a safe and pleasant living environment for everyone. To ensure comfort and respect for all, please review the following house rules. Your cooperation helps us maintain a welcoming community.

Respectful Conduct & Quiet Enjoyment

  • Neighborly Conduct: We ask all tenants and your guests to treat neighbors with respect. As a tenant, you are responsible for the conduct of your guests.
  • Hallway Etiquette: Please avoid running or shouting in the hallways to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all residents.
  • Quiet Hours: To ensure a good quality of life for everyone, especially on school nights, please be mindful of noise levels between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
  • Property Use: Please use the building and its furnishings for their intended purposes.

Safety & Property Care

Plumbing Care: Our sewage system is sensitive. Please flush only toilet paper. Do not dispose of household chemicals down the drain.

No Illegal Activities: The use or sale of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

Maximum occupancy of two (2) persons/ bedroom.

Smoke-Free Building: For the health and safety of all residents, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Story Block. If you smoke, please do so outdoors, away from entrances and windows.

Reporting Issues: Please report any maintenance issues or misconduct promptly. This includes problems with water/draining, electrical systems, safety concerns, or anything else that requires attention.

Common Areas:

Keep Hallways Clear: Do not store personal items in hallways or other common areas.

Cleanliness: Please help us keep common areas clean and dispose of your trash properly.

Trash Disposal: Trash cans are located behind the building. Trash collection is scheduled for Wednesdays between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Fire Safety:

Safety Devices: Fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, exit signs, and fire extinguishers are for your safety. Do not tamper with them or obstruct their function.

Mechanical Rooms: For safety reasons, do not store anything in the mechanical rooms as this poses a significant fire hazard.

No Open Flames: Candles and open flames are not permitted inside or outside the building.

Thermostats & Electrical Devices: Please do not interfere with or replace thermostats or other electrical devices without prior consent from the owner.

The owners may, in sole discretion, amend these Schoolhouse Rules from time to time. Amendments will be effective when posted in the hallway or mailed/emailed to the tenants.
